In 1993 several payroll and software development specialists started the development of a new generation of payroll software designed specifically for the Microsoft Windows platform. Utilising their extensive experience of both payroll processing and computer application development they spent 5 years on the project which yielded the Accord Payroll system.

Our software solutions are tested and accredited with the HMRC payroll standard and Accord Payroll is included onto their register of accredited payroll software packages. This is a process of continuous accreditation and to remain on the register the software is constantly monitored and tested to ensure compliance with all current payroll legislation. Additionally the Accord Payroll end of year Internet submission module has successfully passed the HMRC payroll standard tests and is included on the the HMRC list of accredited payroll software products. Since HMRC established the User Testing and Monitoring group, designed to increase the standard of computer payroll systems within the industry, they have maintained an on-going involvement with the testing and continued development of our solutions.
