Update on RTI development progress
From April 2012, HMRC will run RTI pilot tests with a selection of companies. In October 2012, RTI processes and documentation will be finalised by HMRC, and all employers will begin using RTI between April 2013 and October 2013. We are already developing Accord Payroll RTI version, which will be released in February/March 2013. At the beginning of 2013, user training will be offered for the new RTI functionality and processes in Accord Payroll.

Postal Charges Will Encourage the Switch to Online Payslips
The CIPP recently noted a prominent increase in the number of members reporting the use of Online Payslips within their organisation. Payroll Business Solutions have seen a similar increase in take up of our hosted online payslip/P60 service in recent months. It is thought that the rising cost of stationery and dispatch will further encourage this trend.

New Accord Features for the Recruitment Sector: Automated Expenses & Benefits Handling and Umbrella Company Calculation Models
Automated expenses, mileage payments and benefits calculations can now be carried out in Accord, incorporating formulas based around Salary Sacrifice schemes or special dispensations. We have now also added Umbrella Company calculations and functions, including self billing. See the Pay and Charge page on our website for more information about Recruitment payroll solutions.

Payroll Business Solutions Announce Sybase Partnership
The majority of our users currently run Accord Payroll on a Microsoft SQL Server database and Payroll Business Solutions have held Microsoft Solution Partner status for some time. However, in recent times several of our clients have expressed an interest in the Sybase database platform and, in response, Accord Payroll has now been successfully tested on Sybase. We have already completed several successful Sybase implementations and are pleased to announce the initiation of a formal partnership agreement with Sybase, recently acquired by SAP. Accord Payroll is an ODBC compliant software application and can work equally well with any database engine that supports ODBC. We are currently considering support for Oracle and Pervasive, which will further increase our range of operating environments and extend the choices available to our users.

Having completed a number of successful joint projects, PBS and IQX are proud to announce a formal partnership, enabling us to provide integrated end-to-end solutions for Recruitment Agencies and Umbrella Companies. The two organisations have been working together for some time, developing shared integration links and complementary system features that have resulted in practical successes for our shared clients. Accord Interface for HMRC Data Provisioning Service (DPS)
We have now completed work on the facility to manage Tax Code updates (P6, P9), Student Loan Notifications (SL1, SL2) and Employer Reminders and Notifications in the Accord system via the HMRC gateway. Accord already offers online P45/P46 starter and leaver details filing and Internet End of Year submission. Don't forget that with the approval of electronic P60s, Accord also offers the potential for a paper free End of Year for 2011!

Testing Under Way for Oracle Compatibility
The Accord Payroll system is currently being prepared for operation on the Oracle platform to allow us yet more flexibility! Expect a formal announcement soon....

Enhancements to MyPay Online Payslip and Reporting System
As well as delivering pay advice online, MyPay offers reports direct to managers and gives employees access to personal data and timesheet/expanses data entry. New functions allow Bureau clients to electronically authorise payrolls and employees to have self service and data entry rights (including expenses and Timesheet data), should their employers choose to grant them.
